It's strange but Barranquilla's best beach is not located in Barranquilla.
Take a bus from Paseo Bolivar to Puerto Colombia, it's about half an hour.
Puerto Colombia is an attractive resort with a very nice beach. Because of Magdalena River the water is a little muddy.
Anyway, Barranquilla is only 2 hour by bus from Cartagena or Santa Marta and there are many, many cool beaches.
