Bogota Carnival is held every year on 5 & 6 August. Most of the action is in Simon Bolivar Park and on the city center streets. They also celebrate the making of Bogota at the same time. It's nice and entertaining but don't expect anything like in Rio or Barranquilla. They have live music and parades but at a smaller scale.
